About Us

We are clinical psychologists registered with the NZ Psychologists Board offering comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments for adults seeking clarity around Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or co-occurring ADHD and Autism.Do we do an individual bio each, or just do a combined more generic bio? What to expect

Step 1: Get in touch to request an assessment. We’ll confirm suitability, discuss options (ADHD, Autism, or combined), and arrange your appointment.Step 2: Complete consent forms and intake questionnaires prior to your assessment.Step 3: Complete standardised questionnaires. Where possible, two people who know you well (e.g., partner, parent, close friend) will also complete collateral questionnaires.Step 4: Attend your assessment session (in-person in Tauranga or via telehealth), which includes a structured clinical interview in line with DSM-5-TR criteria.Step 5: With your consent, we may interview a family member and/or friend who knows you well.Step 6: All information is reviewed to determine whether diagnostic criteria for ADHD and/or Autism are met, or to provide diagnostic clarification.Step 7: You will receive a comprehensive written report outlining findings and recommendations.Step 8: A feedback session is offered to discuss the outcome and next steps.

Who is this for?

Assessment may be helpful if you:• Have long-standing difficulties with attention, organisation, planning, or task completion that impact your daily life.
• Experience differences in social communication and interaction, and/or sensory sensitivities or a preference for routine or predictability that impact your daily life.
• Have experienced burnout related to masking or coping strategies.
• Are seeking diagnostic clarity for work or study accommodations
• Wonder whether ADHD, Autism, or both may better explain your experiences.
This service may not be suitable if you are currently experiencing significant changes in mood (such as mania), psychosis, substance dependence, or other mental health concerns that would benefit from psychiatric assessment. In these situations, we recommend speaking with your GP about a referral to a psychiatrist.Our service provides psychological assessment only. We are not medical doctors or psychiatrists, and we do not prescribe medication. Your diagnostic report can be provided to your GP or a psychiatrist, who may be able to assist with medication options if appropriate.

Pricing

ADHD Assessment: $1400 + GST
Autism (ASD) Assessment: $1400 + GST
Combined ADHD/Autism Assessment: $1800 + GST
A comprehensive adult assessment includes a clinical interview, standardised assessment measures, review of developmental history, diagnostic formulation, and a detailed written report.Payment plans are available.Medication is not prescribed as part of this service.

Legal and Ethical Information

Information shared in assessment is confidential, with limits as required by law (e.g. risk of harm to self or others, or where records are subpoenaed by court). Assessment reports are prepared for the individual client and may be shared with third parties (e.g. GP, psychiatrist, employer, or tertiary provider) at the client’s request.We cannot guarantee that external agencies will accept or act on recommendations made in psychological reports. Assessments are available both in person and via secure telehealth. Although telehealth assessments meet clinical diagnostic standards, eligibility for certain government or disability support services in New Zealand is determined by external agencies and may sometimes require an in-person or multidisciplinary assessment.If you have any concerns about the service you receive, we encourage you to discuss these with us directly in the first instance. You may also contact the New Zealand Psychologists Board to make a formal complaint.This service provides scheduled, non-urgent psychological assessment only. This service is not suitable for individuals requiring immediate mental health support. If you are in crisis or at risk of harm to yourself or others, please seek immediate help through calling 111, attending your nearest Emergency Department, or contacting your local crisis service.
